Fur Seasons – Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing Fur Seasons. Our priority is always the health, safety and wellbeing of your cat. Please take a moment to read through our terms and conditions carefully, as by booking an appointment you are agreeing to the following.
These terms apply to all current and future bookings made under your name.
Appointments & Check-In
For each visit, you will be asked to complete a check-in form, either via a link sent to you or in person when dropping off your pet. This ensures we have up-to-date information and your consent to proceed with grooming.
Cats must arrive in a secure and suitable carrier. If not, we may need to refuse the appointment and your deposit will be retained. Dogs must be on a lead.
We work strictly by appointment to provide a calm, one-to-one grooming experience. Please arrive on time. If you are more than 20 minutes late, we may need to cancel the appointment for welfare reasons and your deposit may be lost.

Health & Medical Conditions
Grooming can sometimes be stressful, particularly for young, elderly, overweight or medically compromised cats and dogs
While we take every precaution, grooming may:
Reveal underlying health conditions
Aggravate existing issues
Occasionally result in minor injuries (such as small nicks or scratches)
By booking with Fur Seasons, you agree that:
We are not liable for pre-existing or underlying conditions
All veterinary costs are the owner’s responsibility unless negligence is proven
We may stop a groom at any time if we feel it is in your cat’s best interest (full charges still apply)
In the event of an emergency, we will always try to contact you first. However, if urgent veterinary care is required, you authorise us to seek treatment and agree to cover any associated costs.
Elderly, Young or High-Risk Cats/Dogs
Some cats/dogs may find grooming physically demanding. Although we take extra care, we cannot guarantee that all of them will tolerate the full grooming process.
There is an increased risk of stress or injury, and we reserve the right to stop the groom if necessary for your cat/dog's welfare.
Behaviour & Aggression
We understand that some cats/Dogs may be nervous or reactive. Your pet's safety, as well as ours, is extremely important.
You must inform us of any history of:
Aggression
Biting or scratching
Anxiety or behavioural concerns
Failure to disclose this information may result in refusal of service.
We reserve the right to:
Apply additional handling charges
Stop the groom if safety becomes a concern
Refuse future appointments if necessary
You accept full responsibility for any injury or damage caused by your cat.
Coat Condition & Matting
At Fur Seasons, we prioritise welfare over appearance.
If your cat or dog's coat is matted or neglected, it may not be humane to de-matt. In line with the Animal Welfare Act 2006, clip the coat short if this is the kindest option, this may not be clipped by myself if it is the full body matted, I will contact you to ask advice off your vet or a groomer that is experienced in this situation.
Please note:
Severe matting can hide skin conditions, which may become visible after grooming
We are not liable for any issues discovered during or after coat removal
Additional charges will apply for matted coats
Regular brushing at home and routine grooming (every 4–8 weeks) is strongly recommended.
Fleas & Ticks
We maintain a flea-free salon.
If your ca/dogt arrives with fleas, the appointment may be rescheduled.
We are not responsible for any irritation or infection resulting from parasites or their removal.
Accidents
Although we take every precaution, grooming involves sharp tools and live animals, so minor accidents can occasionally happen.
In most cases, these can be treated on-site. If veterinary care is required:
We will seek treatment immediately at the nearest Vets
We will attempt to contact you
Your cat’s welfare will always come first
Vaccinations
We may request proof of vaccination or veterinary details as dates on the Registration Form. While we maintain high hygiene standards, we cannot guarantee against the transmission of illness.
Use of Images
We may take photographs of your cat for use on social media, marketing or educational purposes. If you would prefer your cat not to be photographed, please let us know at your appointment.
Payments
Payment is on collection. £20 non-refundable deposit which is deducted from the payment on the day.
